Overview:

INTELLINET NETWORK SOLUTIONS Fast Ethernet Media Converter is a device specifically designed for network designers to migrate from copper-based Ethernet to fiber Ethernet. In this way, transitions or development of existing networks can be achieved with minimum cost and in a simple way. The converter works in a completely understandable way in the network, so the network continues to work as it did before  but now it can support both copper and fiber media.

Extends the size of an existing network
It provides fiber connectivity to Ethernet segments, allowing even greater network expansion between extended workgroups. It also provides building-to-building connectivity without the cost and disruption of installing additional routers.

Increases Distance Between Network Devices
Connecting the converter to fiber sections can further extend the distance between network nodes. This can be achieved by a direct connection between the converter and a fiber-based node or network device.

Wiring Flexibility
Network administrators can install fiber cabling anywhere in a network without changing the copper-based Ethernet layout. The converter's compact size allows it to be easily installed in any narrow desktop or wall-mounted installation. Several converters can be installed simultaneously in a 19" rack-mountable frame.

LEDs
