عن المؤلف | Mary Stohr received her Ph.D. from Washington State University and is a professor in the Criminology and Criminal Justice Department at Missouri State University. Before earning her terminal degree she gained practical experience in the field as a correctional counselor and officer. She teaches classes in corrections, management, environmental crime and program evaluation. This is her fifth book and she has authored another 60 plus articles, book chapters and other academic publications. Craig Hemmens holds a J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law and a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. He is Department Head and Professor in the Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice at Missouri State University. In addition to being the series editor for SAGE's Text/Reader series in Criminology/Criminal Justice, Professor Hemmens has published several books, including Law, Justice and Society (Oxford University Press, (c)2009), Legal Guide for Police (Anderson, A(c)2011) and an Introduction to Criminal Evidence (Oxford University Press, A(c)2009). He has been nominated for several teaching awards, and is currently serving as the first Vice President of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. Anthony Walsh received his Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University and is a professor of criminology at Boise State University. He has field experience in both law enforcement and corrections. His special interests include the biological bases of human behavior, criminology, statistics, and criminal justice assessment and counseling. He is the author of 27 books, including Biology and Criminology (Routledge, (c)2009), Feminist Criminology Through a Biosocial Lens (Carolina Academic Press, A(c)2011), Law, Justice, and Society (with Craig Hemmens, Oxford University Press, A(c)2011), and Correctional Assessment, Casework, and Counseling (with Mary Stohr, American Correctional Association). He has authored over 100 journal articles or book chapters. |
