عن المؤلف | Dianne Burns (RGN, RNT, MSc, BSc Hons, PGCE, SFHEA) is a Lecturer and Unit Lead for the B Nurse Leadership and Management Units in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work at the University of Manchester. A Registered General Nurse since 1984, Dianne worked in a variety of clinical settings as a staff nurse (Acute Medical/Surgical, Orthopaedics) and latterly as a nursing sister (Accident/Emergency) before moving into a community setting; working as a practice nurse then Nurse Practitioner/Nursing Team Co-ordinator within a large semi-rural GP Practice. She joined the University of Manchester as a Lecturer in Nursing in 2003. Dianne currently teaches across a variety of programmes within school and co-leads the Faculty HEA Senior Fellowship Programme alongside Dr Judith Williams. She is a University Link Lecturer with Central Manchester NHS Foundation Trust. Over the last 10 years, Dianne, a current member and former steering committee member of the RCN Education Forum, has held a number of key programme management roles including Examinations Officer, Adult Branch Co-ordinator and Deputy Programme Director (DPSN/BSc Programme) and Adult Field Lead (B Nurs programme). She currently has three strategic leadership roles within the school: Academic Lead for Portfolio Development (B Nurs programme), Peer Educator Programme Lead (B Nurs programme) and Academic Lead for Employability (SNMSW). Each of these roles provides a perfect opportunity for her to draw upon her enthusiasm and passion for engaging with students, colleagues and healthcare practitioners in order to enhance learning within the school, the University and the wider community. |
