عن المؤلف | Maggie Sokolik, Ph.D. was born in Olympia, Washington. She is a writer/editor living in the Bay Area. She graduated from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, and received a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from UCLA. She teaches writing at UC Berkeley. She is also the instructor for a popular online course, Principles of Written English, offered through edx.org. This class is offered for English language learners and writers around the world, and has attracted tens of thousands of students. Her book Principles of Written English are companion textbooks for the course. Dorothy Zemach is an author, editor, teacher, and teacher trainer in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT). She taught English, French, and Japanese for over 18 years in Asia, Africa, and the US and holds an MA in TESL from the School for International Training in Vermont. Now she concentrates on writing and editing English language teaching materials and textbooks and conducting teacher training workshops. Her areas of specialty and interest include teaching writing, teaching reading, business English, academic English, testing, and humor. She is a frequent plenary speaker at international conferences, and a regular blogger for Teacher Talk at Azar Grammar. |
