| عن المؤلف | Dr. P. Ramakrishnan, Professor Emeritus, IIT-Bombay; Professor & Head of the Department of Metallurgicals Engineering, Professor of Met. Engg. & Materials Science, Chief co-ordinator, Powder Metallurgy and High Temperature Material Centre, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay is actively engaged in education, research and development, training and industrial consultancy in the field of Power Metallurgy, Ceramic and Composite Materials. In these areas he has published over 450 technical papers in reputed journals and edited 19 books. A recipient of Binani Gold Medal of Indian Institute of Metals 1966, National Metallurgist Award of Government of India 1976, best research paper award for 1994 of Powder Metallurgy Association of India, and the award of International Research Grant of National Science Foundation, USA on different occasions. He has Participated in the, Indo-US, Indo-former USSR, Indo-German, Indo-Japanese, Indo-UK, and Indo-Israel joint science and technology collaborative research programmes in powder technology and advanced materials. He has served as the chairman and as a member of different committees of the national and international awards and also as the chairman of International Hausner award committee of the International Fine Particle Society, USA in 1980. He was the leader of the Indian delegation of Powder Metallurgy to former USSR, during May-June 1983. The past Chairman of ASM International India chapter, Bombay, past President of Powder Metallurgy Association of India. He has also served as consaultant/expert to many committies of Atomic Energy, Defence, Department of Science and Technology, Space Research, DSIR, CSIR, DGTD, UGC, IITs, many Universities, Human Resources Development etc. and also United Nations ESCAP, UNCSTD and UNDP. Other involvements include, member of Technical Advisory Board, Editorial Advisory Boar, Editorial Board of many journals including International journal of Refractory metals and hard materials and International journal of Advanced Powder Technology and International Liasion Committee of many professional bodies, journals and International Conferences, including Asian Powder Metallurgy, International Plansee Seminars and Powder Metallurgy World Congresses in North America, Europe and Japan. |
