Coppola served as the English Coordinator for the Sewanhaka Central High School District and the English Chairperson at Sewanhaka High School, a nationally recognized school of excellence. A recipient of numerous National Endowment for the Humanities fellowships and awards, he introduced technology into the English program, has written innovative curriculum, created multiple staff development programs, conducted numerous teacher training workshops, and has had over 30 years of experience as an administrator, advisor, and supervisor of teachers.Diane B. Scricca is presently the assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction and grants for the Glen Cove City School District after having served as the principal of Elmont Memorial High School for 13 years. Widely recognized for her extraordinary leadership, she has been honored as both the Supervisors and Administrators of New York State and NASSP New York State Principal of the Year and was a NASSP National Principal of the Year finalist. Under her dynamic leadership Elmont, a school of 1900 students with a 95% minority enrollment, a 99% graduation rate, and a 95% rate attending college, was recognized as a Blue Ribbon National School of Excellence, and was named as a Best High School in New York State by Redbook magazine.Gerard E. Connors has been an educator for the past 36 years. During his career he has served as the English chairperson, Assistant Principal, and Principal of New Hyde Park Memorial High School in New York. Under his leadership, his school was recognized as a National School of Excellence and a Redbook School of Academic Excellence. The Supervisors and Administrators of New York State and the National Association of Secondary School Principals recognized him as a Principal of the Year. Presently, he serves as Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Administration in the Sewanhaka district. |
