OverviewFinish is the worlds's largest brand for automatic dishwashing products and our vision is to help people achieve the cleanest possible dishes.Established by U.S. company Economics Laboratory in 1953, Finish was acquired when J.A. Benckiser bought the Consumer Products division of Eco-lab Inc in 1987. By the early 1950’s, the growing use of molded plastic dinnerware was presenting a range of problems. Coffee staining and "spotting" brought on by slow drying were common problems that offered opportunities for the right product. Learning from research into the needs of the dairy industry, Eco-Lab introduced two products which were to become major players in the household dishwashing scene: Electrasol, and a new, premium product – Finish. We also have a long history of industry firsts - from the first biological powder in 1969 to the first dual layer tablet in 1995 to the introduction of the now famous red Powerball in 1999 and the first three-chamber molded capsule in the 21st century. Major markets include USA, Canada, UK, Italy and Germany, with a growing presence in developing countries as well as the Middle East, South Africa and Japan.
