Book DescriptionThis book describes the internationally acclaimed World Bank's Multi-Country AIDS Program (MAP) that has dramatically increased access to HIV prevention, care, and treatment across Africa. The book uses extensive data from national surveys and HIV/AIDS programs that show how MAP funding has helped support children and adults affected by AIDS, prevent mother-to-child transmission, helped countries build capacity for national programs and been a catalyst for greatly increased support.
Editorial Review* I would recommend it as a main text for the mental health pre-reg branch programme. The text has been written in a consistent, user centred style with realistic scenarios which recognise the contemporary challenges of modern day mental health practice. * Dr Steve Tee, Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing, Southampton University School of Nursing and Midwifery * I can't find anything to compare to this book, no other text has everything in one place. I just found the chapters so friendly and captivating - they inform my knowledge further...I can't wait to recommend this to student nurses. * Justin Watts, Student Nurse Mentor, employed within Plymouth Teaching Primary Care NHS Trust. * The knowledge base and skills necessary for mental health nurses undertaking pre-registration courses are clearly presented in this informative text. There are many texts recommended to mental health nurse students. If you can only afford one, go for this one. * Mental Health Practice, June 2009 *
