OverviewInomata rice wash bowls are specially designed Japanese rice wash bowls for quick washing or long soaking rice before cooking. Thorough cleaning in the rice wash can significantly reduce the toxins and chemical content during the growth process. To soak rice, measure into the bowl with a firm base and cover with fresh water. Let the specified time soak and rinse thoroughly. To clean rice quickly before cooking, use the Speed Washing Bowl with side and bottom dish drainers. Measure rice in the bowl and keep it under running tap water. Swing your fingers vigorously to loosen rice bran or starch, and allow bowls and other particles to drain through the bottom and side. Continue until the water is clear. Both bowls are ideal for all types of rice, including brown rice, jasmine rice, even black, basmati, wild, white and short-grain rice, sometimes called sticky rice, due to its glue-like quality when cooked. Both rice wash bowls work equally well as kitchen strainers for washing fruits and vegetables, legumes, barley and other larger grains. Made in Japan from food grade plastic.
