Highlights
  • PVC fittings are resistant to corrosion and chemicals, making them suitable for a variety of environments.
  • Clean the pipe ends and the inside of the fitting sockets to ensure a good bond.
  • Apply PVC primer to the outside of the pipe and the inside of the fitting socket. Follow with PVC solvent cement.
  • Insert the pipe into the fitting socket, twisting slightly to ensure even distribution of the cement. Hold the joint in place until the cement sets.
  • Allow the joint to cure according to the manufacturer’s recommendations before applying pressure or flow.
