About the Author | Dr Helen Scales is a writer, marine biologist and documentary-maker. Her recent book, Spirals in Time, was chosen as a book of the year by The Economist, The Guardian and The Times, it featured on BBC Radio 4's Book of the Week and was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Biology book award. She is also scientific advisor to the charity Sea Changers, a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and teaches at the University of Cambridge. |
