filling upMake sure your fish finder is fully charged. Deeper Start charges in 2.5 hours and uses a USB cable that is compatible with any USB port. The battery provides 6 hours of continuous use. Note that you don't need to use it all the time unless you're browsing for fun. | connectingUse the barrel swivel to securely attach your rod to your Start fish finder. Put it in water and it will turn on automatically. Connect to your fish finder using your phone settings. Next, open the Deeper App (make sure it is up to date) to start scanning the water. Important: Make sure you turn off any Wi-Fi assist on your smartphone (e.g. “Wi-Fi Assist” on iOS) or turn off Cellular Data completely. This will ensure an uninterrupted connection. | CastingOnce you're connected, you're ready to go outside. Your Start has a connection range of 165 feet. To ensure a stable connection, do not place your phone on the ground or in your pocket. We recommend using the Deeper smartphone mount for your stick. | ScanningOnce your fish finder hits the water, you'll start seeing fish and depth data on your smartphone screen. Slowly rotate the fish finder and you will see changes in depth and fish location. If you don't see any fish icons, that means there are no fish! Try another spot until you find fish. Important: Even if your sonar is stable, the screen will scroll from right to left. This is because your fish finder is constantly sending out scanning beams. |
