Highlights- CHARACTERISTICS - WEICON GMK 2410 is an adhesive based on polychloroprene (CR) with a high initial adhesion for the full-surface and flexible bonding of..: Rubber with rubber or rubber with metal
- DETAILS - WEICON GMK 2410 also bonds foam rubber, PE foam, leather, felt, insulating materials, textiles, wood as well as many other plastics.
- APPLICATION - WEICON GMK 2410 is not suitable for materials such as polystyrene foam, polyethylene, polypropylene parts, PVC soft foam and PVC artificial leather.
- QUALITY - 100% German Quality. Our adhesives meet the highest quality requirements in compliance with physical, safety, toxicological and ecological regulations.
- SURFACE PREPARATION - The parts to be joined must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease (WEICON Cleaner). By roughening the surfaces, the strength of the bond is effectively increased.
OverviewWEICON GMK 2410 Contact Adhesive
PROPERTIES: WEICON GMK 2410 contact adhesive is permanently elastic, moisture-resistant, adhesive and fast curing. Our GMK 2410 is an adhesive based on polychloroprene (CR) with a high initial adhesion for full-surface and flexible bonding of..: Rubber with rubber or rubber with metal.
APPLICATION: GMK 2410 also bonds foam rubber, PE foam, leather, felt, insulating materials, textiles, wood and many plastics. WEICON GMK 2410 is not suitable for materials such as polystyrene foam, polyethylene, polypropylene parts, PVC soft foam and PVC artificial leather.
SURFACE PRETREATMENT: The parts to be joined must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease (WEICON Surface Cleaner). By roughening the surfaces, the strength of the bond is effectively increased.
PROCESSING: Stir the products well before use and then apply evenly with a brush or spatula (smooth or fine-toothed) to the surfaces to be bonded, thinly and over the entire surface. Depending on the type of material and application, two to three thin layers may be required. Depending on application thickness, ambient temperature and humidity, allow the coated surfaces to flash off for 5 - 10 minutes. In the case of absorbent surfaces (e.g. felt), a further application of adhesive should be carried out after flash-off. As soon as the surfaces feel dry but still slightly sticky (finger test), the parts must be joined under short, strong pressure (e.g. with a roller or hammer). If the flash-off time is exceeded (over-drying), a new application of adhesive is necessary.
