She specialises in barbecue, and is the author of the barbecue bible Live Fire, which was shortlisted for a Guild of Food Writers Award 2023. She is also editor of Pit, an independent food magazine. She won Editor of the Year: Food and Drink at the British Society of Magazine Editor's Awards 2020, and the Food Magazine Award at the Guild of Food Writers Awards 2023.
