The resulting dialogue is considered one of the most original, spontaneous, and thought-provoking exchanges between contemporary philosophers. Furthermore, it provides a brief introduction to their core theories. The conversation, which began as a philosophical discussion rooted in linguistics and epistemology, quickly expanded into a broader discourse covering a wide range of topics from science and history to behavior, creativity, freedom, and the struggle for justice in the realm of politics. In addition to the debate itself, the book includes a new introduction by Columbia University philosophy professor John Rachman, as well as important additional texts by Chomsky and Foucault. |
