Relieving asthma symptoms: Some studies published in the Indian Journal of Pharmacology in 2008 indicated that taking 3 grams of moringa every day for 3 weeks reduces asthma symptoms and improves lung function in adults with mild to moderate asthma.
Lowering blood sugar levels: Some studies have shown that taking moringa tea in tablet form with a sulfonylurea drug helps significantly in controlling blood sugar levels and reduces blood sugar levels after each meal.
It also reduces fasting blood sugar levels better than taking sulfonylureas alone in diabetics. Studies have also shown that drinking moringa tea with meals reduces blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.
Low Cholesterol: Several laboratory studies published in the journal Ethnopharmacology in 2008 indicated that moringa tea reduces blood cholesterol levels by up to 50% and reduces the blockage of blood vessels that lead to atherosclerosis by 85%. This result is similar to the result of the drug simvastatin. Studies have also shown that moringa tea reduces the chances of exposure to blood vessel and heart diseases and works to reduce blood lipids and also contains many antioxidants.
Treating malnutrition in children: Some studies published in the International Journal of Scientific Study in 2014 have shown that consuming Moringa tea by children for two months improves their nutrition. This plant is considered the best option for treating malnutrition because it contains many minerals and vitamins such as potassium, calcium, vitamin B and iron. It also contains a high percentage of amino acids such as: methionine and cysteine. Moringa is classified as the best plant food because it contains a high percentage of fats, carbohydrates and phosphorus.
Treating anemia: Moringa tea is consumed because it contains a large amount of iron, which helps in the formation of red blood cells. Studies conducted at the University of Pharmacognosy Journal in 2016 proved that moringa leaves reduce the incidence of anemia because they contain indigo, which increases the amount of red blood cells, hematocrit, hemoglobin, and iron levels in the blood.
Treatment of heart diseases: Moringa tea helps in treating heart diseases and atherosclerosis in the case of high cholesterol or high triglycerides or both, because the presence of one or both of them together increases the chances of developing cardiovascular diseases.
Moringa tea helps calm the nerves and reduce stress resulting from fear of something such as stress during exams or before surgeries or when traveling by plane or by sea. It is consumed all over the world and has begun to penetrate Arab cultures to be consumed like regular red tea, but this tea contains many benefits that exceed the benefits found in regular tea.
