The duration is up to your decision; you can change it after each 6 -8 shaves or extend it to two months by maintaining proper blade and razor cleanliness. Take your time and shave with beginner settings (R1-R3) using shaving cream, gel, or lotion. Any recommendations for my first shave? We suggest starting with the R1. This is our mildest razor and makes it impossible to cut yourself. -Prep your skin/hair with a shave brush, cream or soap. -Don't press and drag! Let the razor do the bulk work. -Change the blade according to usage. How do I take care of my Rockwell Razor? Caring for your Rockwell Razor is easy! Generally speaking, not much special care is required other than rinsing your razor out with water to clean out any gunk. To clean the razor, we recommend using a simple dish soap solution. I have an allergy to nickel, are your razors nickel free? The Rockwell 6C razor does not contain nickel, while the Rockwell 6S contains trace amounts in its stainless steel composition.
