Book Description | This book addresses the issue of the mortgage financing crisis in the American economy, which was the society that was afflicted by it in 2008 AD. This book has explored the depth of this phenomenon and how it has turned from a blessing into a curse, while mentioning ways through which one can avoid falling into its clutches again. This book covers a number of topics related to the phenomenon, which the authors discussed in twelve chapters. In their discussion, they relied on in-depth studies that dealt with this crisis in detail. Each chapter was devoted to an independent topic, but they complement each other to provide in their entirety an intellectual framework supported by evidence that the authors believe will help in Confront future recessions, and even prevent them. In this book, the authors emphasize that the US government must stop supporting the use of inflexible debt contracts (debt financing), in both the banking and household sectors. The authors also presented a proposal to improve the debt-based financial system to an ideal form in which families share the risks associated with purchasing a home or investing in education, etc., with investors who must bear some risks to justify the gains they obtain. |
