Editorial Review"Alexandria has always been a major destination for travelers through the ages. Greeks and Romans flocked to the city to see its wonders. Over the centuries, people of different backgrounds and creeds have come to see these wonders, as if they were pilgrims, to see the great port and contribute to the city's continued development. The modern city continues to welcome visitors who flock to discover its fascinating treasures and explore its rich and distinctive history." Dr. Paul Edmund Stanwick "According to ancient legend, Alexander the Great founded more than seventy cities during his military career through his empire, sixteen of which were named 'Alexandria' after him. Of all these cities, Alexandria in Egypt is the most famous and important, and it is the only city that has lasted for more than two thousand years. Alexandria still retains the spirit of its foundation and is considered the embodiment of the ingenious vision and political will of Alexander the Great."
