It is possible to make your knives extremely sharp with the device that has a super-thin white side (0.1 micron) and a gray side (1 micron) made of synthetic sapphires. You do not need to lubricate the apparatus while sharpening, but you should clean it with warm water and soap after use.

How to use your whetstone?

If your knife is dull, we recommend starting with a diamond surface. First, you need to return the sharp edge of your knife to its original shape. Then, remove any burrs using the gray side of the ceramic stone to thoroughly sharpen your knife. The white side of the CC4 is a very smooth ceramic surface and is mostly used to polish the sharp edge. Do not use oil or water. Start by placing the blade flat on the surface. To fix the sharpening angle more easily; Lift the back of the knife from the surface, approximately as much as its own thickness, and move the sharp edge over the surface in a circular motion, maintaining this angle.

- By painting the sharp edge of the knife with a pencil, you can more easily check where you have worn or the smoothness of your sharpening line.

- When you move the edge of the blade very lightly over your nail, if it does not get out of the way and cuts slightly, your blade is smooth and sharp enough for most tasks.

- You can use the back of the leather pouch that the apparatus comes with as a "barber belt". You can make the blade of your knife micro thin and smooth by lubricating this part or using products such as "honing compound bar".
