Book Description | The book aims to highlight the essential role of the interaction of each of: institutions, morals, individual and collective preparations, and policies based on culture for real development, not sterile or incomplete development. We will discuss three main problems: the first: the ease of imitation and the challenge of creative horizons in dealing with (contents) and (areas) of concepts; This is done by studying the cunning of the concepts of (development) and (culture) as a common currency in our Arab knowledge space, and we will be interested in digging into the cognitive relations between (development) and (culture); To realize the implication that development carries for the socio-cultural structure, and we will not care about development as much as we care about what it contains of vision, patterns, postulates, foundations, contents, and value referrals affecting and affected by society. Second: The problem of values as a place for development by taking advantage of the opinions of a group of philosophers who represent five theses, starting with the generation of Lipovetsky and Karl Marx, passing through Max Weber and Ibn Khaldun, and ending with Hajoon Chang. Third: Examining the concept of cultural development, its stages, objectives, pillars, network of concepts, and its relationship to socio-cultural change; For a deeper comprehension of the charms of development because it is a discourse that has manifestations and functions and not abstract, solid plans. This thesis argues for our need to look at development as representations and codes for how to manage public affairs and as a pattern of insight that frames development in broader contexts. The main pillar from which the book is based is that the cultural condition for development alone leads us into the blindness of reductionism and the sin of polarization, and does not provide us with an explanatory vision. For this reason, we cannot ignore the objective causes of development blockages. Some cultural factors are not fixed, separate essences, as they are not solely responsible for the production, deterioration, or prosperity of this reality. Development is in combinations that are present, continuous, complex, and creative. We also try to examine the possibility of the contribution of management sciences to the resumption of the effectiveness of institutions, policies, and values. |
