Here is the new v2 model infrared camera for Raspberry Pi 3/2/B+/A+/B.
The Raspberry Pi high-resolution camera is compatible with all models that have a CSI connector (only the Pi Zero model does not have this connector). You can use this camera to take photos and videos in HD resolution. It's a perfect choice for time-lapse video and slow motion.
There is an IMX219PQ image sensor produced by Sony on the camera module, which offers high sensitivity and high-speed video support. It also has features such as automatic white balance, exposure compensation control and ambient light detection.
The only difference between the infrared camera and the standard model is that it does not have an IR (infrared) filter. In this way, you can get much more successful images in dark environments.
Features:- No infrared filter (NoIR)
- High quality image detection
- Big data processing capacity
- 8 megapixel fixed focal point
- 1080p, 720p60 and VGA90 supported
- Sony IMX219PQ CMOS image sensor
- 15-pin ribbon cable
Connection:Connect your camera module to your Pi via the CSI (Camera Serial Interface) connector. Once the connection is made, you will be able to access the camera via Multi-Media Abstraction Layer (MMAL) or Video for Linux (V4L) APIs. It can also be used over the internet with different APIs such as Picamera Python.
You can access the datasheet of the camera module here.
