The writer was inspired by the story from her father, who was passionate about reforming education, and from the school he founded. This novel, like its predecessor, achieved great success and was adapted into numerous films and a Japanese anime series produced by Nippon Animation Studio as part of the World Masterpieces Theater series. It focused on “Nan,” one of the two students at the school, and was known in the Arab world as “Nowar.” |
