SHIMANO ICE TECHNOLOGY is a revolutionary cooling technology that dissipates heat to provide more stable and powerful disc braking performance in all riding conditions. This provides high braking power in conditions of increased temperature and minimizes power loss at the brake lever. ICE TECHNOLOGY also extends the life of the brake system by keeping the system temperature low. The system works by keeping heat away from the braking area. It is applied to the rotor, lining, hose and piston to prevent loss of braking power due to heat accumulation, especially on long descents. This innovative technology can reduce the temperature of the disc braking system by approximately 100°C.It has longer protection, less noise and longer brake shoe life due to its material properties. It is mounted with a central lock connection system (Centere Lock ).
