OverviewCupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses a cupping set for the cupping massage. The cups are usually made of glass, plastic, or silicone and come in various sizes. Silicone cups are then applied to skin to separate the tissue (fascia) to promote healthy blood and lymph flow.
Cupping therapy has been used for centuries and is thought to work by stimulating the nervous system, release endorphins, which can help to reduce stress and anxiety. It is often used to treat back pain and neck pain, foot pain, support immune, digestive & respiratory health, and more.
The suction created by the cups helps to increase blood flow and loosen tight muscles, providing physical benefits such as pain relief and relaxation. The cups are typically left in place for the several minutes and can be moved around to target specific areas of the body.
Directions
1. Clean the cups and ensure they are free from debris.
2. Apply oil(not included) to the skin in the area to be treated.
3. Select the appropriate cup size for the area.
4. Place the cup over the skin, creating a seal.
5. Apply negative pressure by pressing the cup against the skin and lifting the skin into the cup.
6. Move the cup along the skin for moving techniques, or leave it in place for stationary techniques.
7. Release the pressure and remove the cup when the treatment is complete.
