Book DescriptionAbout the author: Professor Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Omari has a busy scientific career that has spanned more than thirty-five years. Where he served as Professor of Seismology and Head of the Department of Geology and Geophysics at King Saud University in Riyadh. He works as supervisor of the Seismic Studies Center and president of the Saudi Earth Sciences Society. Al-Omari works as a lead researcher in 13 American and German working groups and a local and international consultant in many associations and bodies inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He founded and was editor-in-chief of the first Arab journal of geological sciences under the supervision of the German publisher Springer. His scientific research focused on modeling and simulating the mechanics of earthquakes and reducing their risks, and exploring Deep groundwater and determining geothermal energy reservoirs. In addition to his research work, Al-Omari makes tireless efforts to spread knowledge, as he wrote encyclopedias and specialized educational books aiming to enrich the Arab library with unique educational materials. One of his most prominent achievements is the establishment of the first digital geological encyclopedia for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2024, which included all economic wealth and phenomena. He published more than 220 research papers and completed more than 60 research projects and 74 scientific reports, in addition to authoring an educational encyclopedia of 30 books, 5 specialized scientific encyclopedias, and 3 academic books in earth sciences. He received many local and international awards and honors for his distinguished scientific achievements
