About the Author | Born in 1948. He studied economics and worked for many years in foreign trade. He began his literary career as a fantasy writer in 1996, in the pages of "Fantastic", with his story "The Witcher", which was very well received by readers. This story marked the beginning of a series of tales about the witcher Geralt of Rivia, a warrior who fights alone against the evils of this world. Critics recognized the Witcher series as the literary phenomenon of the 1990s, and each part of it still tops the bestseller lists. The series has been translated into more than twenty languages.
Andrzej Sapkowski also writes short stories, short stories, and essays. His most famous stories include the collection "Something Ends, Something Begins".
Sapkowski has won numerous national and international awards. He lives and works in the Polish city of Łódź. |
