And in your hands, dear reader, is this book (Testaments of the People of Bukayriyah), in which the author spent several years; To monitor the commandments and endowments of this city, and analyze and explore its depths, the city that gave birth to many scholars and distinguished people in various fields was manifested in these commandments, which number more than one hundred and twelve, selected from a period of time close to three centuries, and they are between commandments for the offspring, and others on building mosques, and endowing the Qur’ans and books, and a third on imams and muezzins, and fourth on those who fast, and fifth on students

The honorable reader will notice in these commandments the diversity of charitable and social work, and the interest in consolidating the faith of the righteous predecessors, as well as the effort made by the author to analyze, describe, and scrutinize, adjust dates, flags, and events, and explain the mysterious and vague words, as the book contained many indexes,
