When I received the Nobel Prize in 1999. which came in a year holding symbolic significance as it marked the end of the 20th century's scientific discoveries, continuing the "Age of Science" with further achievements in a new century. Since then, I have met many leaders and political figures, as well as numerous philosophers, thinkers, economists, and managers, not to mention my ongoing interactions with the greatest scientists of our time. Additionally, I have visited or participated in development and growth experiences in many countries. some of which are striving to reach the gateway to modernity but have not succeeded, while others have made it and moved forward. like China, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, India. and Ireland. This is where the idea for this book came about. as an attempt to understand the nature of this age, from science to what lies beyond it. from political wills and social energies to the cultures of peoples.
