نظرة عامةCanesten Cream is an OTC antifungal cream used to treat fungal skin infections. Provides soothing relief from irritation caused by fungal infections. Ideal for fungal infections including fungal nappy rash. The medicine contains Clotrimazole 200mg (1% w/w) Clotrimazole belongs to a group of medicines called imidazoles and is an antifungal agent which fights the cause of fungal skin infections. Used for treatment of: -Skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, fungal nappy rash and fungal sweat rash. -It is also used to relieve irritation of the vulva (external thrush) or the end of the penis, which may be associated with thrush. How to Use: 1)Before use, pierce the tube seal by inverting the cap over the end of the tube and press. 2)Wash your hands before and after applying the cream. 3)Apply the cream thinly to affected areas 2 or 3 times a day and rub in gently. 4)The duration of the treatment depends upon the type of infection. Generally a minimum of 2 weeks treatment is necessary for thrush although up to 4 weeks maybe necessary for other conditions. 5)If symptoms persist consult your doctor. If the feet are infected, they should be washed and dried thoroughly, especially between the toes, before applying the cream.
