This book will be useful for a diverse group of readers including students, botanists, pharmacists, chemists, herbalists and those researchers interested in ethnobotany and ethnopharmacology.
عن المؤلفJosé L. Martinez is a chemical biologist of the University of Santiago of Chile and did his MSc from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He works at the Direction of Scientific and Technological Research of the University of Santiago, Chile. He is the Editor and founder of the Latin American and Caribbean Bulletin of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (BLACPMA) and Medicinal Plant Communications. Dr. Martinez is also a Member of the Editorial Committee of numerous journals and Editor of several books on medicinal plants.Alfred Maroyi is a Professor of Botany at the University of Fort Hare in South Africa with a PhD in ethnobotany and plant systematics from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. His research interest is in ethnobotany, plant utilization, plant systematics and biodiversity conservation. He has written many popular and scientific articles focusing on botanical description, distribution, traditional uses, phytochemistry and pharmacological properties of medicinal plants.Marcelo L. Wagner is tenured Professor Consultant at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry as well as a full academician of the National Academy of Pharmacy and Biochemistry. He is also a full member of the Medicinal Plants of the Argentine Pharmacopeia, and member of Medicinal Plants of the Argentine Institute of Material Rationalization (IRAM). Additionally, he is the Director of Dominguezia magazine, and the Executive Editor of the Latin American and Caribbean Bulletin of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (BLACPMA). Dr. Wagner is also a Member of Lilloa Scientific Committee, and the Latin American Journal of Pharmacy.
