Multifunctional Design: The engine interface module provides status indication, starter motor solenoid (EIM SR), starter motor solenoid (EIM Plus), heater plug (preheat), fuel control solenoid, overspeed signaling (EIM Plus only), and safety "relay" functions.
Convenient Troubleshooting: Each circuit is equipped with a single LED indicator, and when the circuit is operating, the corresponding LED lights up. This allows users to visualize the status of each circuit when searching for faults, making it easy to quickly locate and solve problems.
Easy Connection And Installation: The module can be easily connected to the engine via an insulated sleeve plug and mounted on the engine with an anti vibration mount. This makes the connection and installation process easier and more secure.
Independent Protection Of Circuits: Isolation from the control panel ensures that the current to circuits such as fuel solenoids is independently protected, improving the stability and reliability of the overall circuitry.
Multiple Version Options: The engine interface module is available in four versions, including the 12 24 volt EIM SR and the 12 24 volt EIM Plus. The EIM SR is the base level module that provides all switching functions; the EIM Plus provides the same functional over‑speed sensing and over speed trip regulator functions as the EIM SR. A magnetic sensor on the engine flywheel housing provides a tacho signal to the EIM Plus. When an overspeed condition is sensed, the EIM Plus sends a signal to the 2001, 4001, or 4001E genset control panel for stopping the engine. The overspeed trip point can be easily set to 10% above normal operating speed. The EIM Plus has an overspeed feature that includes the magnetic pickup in addition to the Access 4000 (2001, 4001 and 4001E).
