العنوان الفرعي للكتاب | An Introduction |
وصف الكتاب | Khushwant Singh tells the story of the land and its people from the earliest time to the present day. He covers the upheavals of the subcontinent over five millennia, and how they have come to mould the India of today. He also offers perceptive insights into India’s ethnic diversity, its religions, customs, philosophy, art and culture, political currents, and the galaxy of men and women who have helped shape the nation. Khushwant Singh’s fascination with India and its fabric is evident on every page. India: An Introduction is mandatory reading for anyone who has an interest in the country. And for the traveller, it is that rare companion: erudite and entertaining. |
