About the Author | A writer and political activist in several associations, such as Black People in Germany. She is a writer of articles and some prose works, and editor of an English book series called “witnessed.” Organizes the German Literature Festival "Resonanzen". Her first works, Things I Think About While Smiling Politely and Synchronicity, were published in 2013 and 2014. Her novel “Ada’s World” was translated into several languages and won the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in 2016. She received a grant from the German Literature Fund in 2018. She received the Order of Merit from the State of Berlin in 2022. |
