| About the Author | Tanya Hutchins is a multimedia journalist based in Washington, DC with extensive experience in TV news and labor communications. She has a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Ithaca College and grew up in White Plains, NY. She is also an avid still photographer and some of her photos are featured in this book. While Tanya does not consider herself biracial, many of her ancestors were, so she embraces her multicultural heritage of African, European and Native American Indian ancestry.
