Poelsan pipe connection adapters should be kept away from hard and sharp objects during storage and installation. If the installation will be laid underground, it should be covered with sand to protect it from hard and sharp objects. Damaged adapters should never be used.

 In order to get maximum efficiency from Poelsan pipe connection adapters, tees and elbows should be mounted on the pipe at a 90° angle, and other adapters should be at a 180° angle. Connections at different angles will cause stress on the adapter, and the life of the installation will be reduced.

 Teflon tape should be used in threaded connections. Teflon tape should be wrapped around the adapter long enough to prevent water leakage and in the tightening direction.

 Over tightening of the nut during assembly will cause additional stress on the adapter. The product, which has been subjected to additional stress in this way, cannot be expected to meet the guaranteed pressure values. For this reason, it should not be forgotten that the product is plastic and should only be tightened with enough force to ensure sealing.

Final Check of the Installation

VISUAL INSPECTION

Adapters must be visually inspected to detect damaged adapters during the installation of the installation.

TIGHTNESS CHECK

After the installation of the installation, water must be supplied to the installation at test pressure and the leakage condition must be determined.

• Assembling the adapter by tightening the nut before combining the pipe holder with the o-ring holder,
