ABOUT:
The Huckebein, nicknamed the Focke-Wulf Ta 183, was a jet aircraft developed by Nazi Germany in the final days of World War II. The Ta 183 never made it past the air tunnel stage, but had it been built, like the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 that came after it, it would have had swept wings and carried the Ruhrstahl X-4 aerial missile, the world's first guided aircraft. missile into the air. air missile Regarding Allied jet development, the Reich Air Ministry (RLM, short for Reichsluftfahrtministerium) became aware of Allied jet developments and was particularly concerned that they might have to confront the Gloster Meteor on the continent. In response, they initiated the Emergency Fighter Program, which took effect on July 3, 1944, and ended production of most bombers and multirole aircraft in favor of fighter aircraft, especially jet fighters. They also accelerated the development of experimental designs that would guarantee a performance advantage over Allied designs. One of the many designs that emerged from this was the Ta 183, but it did not make it past the testing phase when World War II ended. Its basic design would later be used for the Argitinian FMA IAe 33 Pulqui II.
