Book Description | This book examines the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the energy industry An increasing energy demand with limited natural resources presents energy suppliers, industry and consumers with new challenges. This book uses an interdisciplinary approach to show the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the energy industry. For the first time, the editors brought together debates and findings from business, science, politics, culture and the media and emphasized that the energy transition can only succeed if it is understandable for the individual and brings together different interests. The second edition of the book shows that it is a fallacy to think that climate protection has been decided and done. There is still an urgent need for action. Published in the management series "Corporate Social Responsibility" the focus of this book is on the field of energy management. The aim of the editors is to support managers and managers from the energy sector in expanding their knowledge and competence in the field of CSR. With this work, the contributions of key experts supplement existing approaches with new ideas and concepts in order to set a new standard in management literature for awareness of sustainability. Take a deep dive into CSR in the energy industry and have a total of ten parts. In this book you will not only learn more about corporate social responsibility and the basics of a sustainable energy industry. The expert contributions also shed light on these aspects: What distinguishes responsible climate protection companies Energy management: Bosch's commitment to ensuring sustainable energy supply Energy transition in the construction and real estate industries The blockchain principle: Pros and Cons The energy of change: Change in the world of work However, this book on corporate social responsibility in the energy industry is not just a reading recommendation for entrepreneurs. The publishers want to make the complex topic of CSR accessible to a broad readership - and thus also to energy consumers. In this way, holistic relationships in the value chain of energy efficiency with a view to renewable energies are reproducibly reproduced. |
