Book SubtitleA Practical Guide To Ethics For Medical Trainees And Physicians
Book DescriptionThe third edition of Doing Right: A Practical Guide to Ethics for Medical Trainees and Physicians is a practical guide to analyzing and resolving the ethical dilemmas medical practitioners face on a day-to-day basis. Drawing extensively on real-life scenarios, this book takes a case-based approach to provide students and practitioners with the advice and skills they need to help their patients and overcome ethical challenges in the field. Fully revised to include up-to-date coverage of such important topics as patient-practitioner relationships in the digital age and advances in reproductive medicine and reproductive technologies, this third edition of Doing Right will provide readers with the most up-to-date guidebook to medical ethics available.
Editorial ReviewPractitioners aren't philosophers-they need to know the why and how of application. There are deliberate, usable, and considered methods throughout this book. --Ken Kirkwood, Western University "The reading style is very engaging and concise - far more palatable than some theoretically dense texts. The liberal use of case studies underscores the relevance to daily practice - something that medical students find very appealing." --Stacy Ackroyd-Stolarz, Dalhousie University
