✅Method of Application
✔️1 SURFACE PREPARATION
Ensure the roof to be treated has a minimum of 1: 100 drainage fall to a suitably sized outlet.
All substrates must be sound, stable and free of dust, dirt, oil and any other contaminants which may
Impair adhesion.
Mineral substrates must exhibit a smooth absorbent surface profile; any spalled or damaged surfaces must be repaired using a suitable Dr. Fixit Repair material
o Metal roofs must be free of rust and all fixings must be securely tightened. All gaps between overlapping
metal panels must be sealed using a suitable approved acrylic sealant.
All penetrations through the roof such as pipework or ducting must be sealed using a suitable approved sealant or expanding foam filler.
Ensure detailing work is carried out on seams, splits, protrusions, fixings, drains, flashings, fasteners etc.
✔️2. PRIMING
o Porous substrates should be primed with penetrating acrylic primer or using one coat of Dr. Fixit Uniproof 4000 mixed with water upto 1:3 ratio, the primer should be allowed to dry for a minimum of 1 to 2 hours before over coating.
✔️3 APPLICATION
o All cracks and movement joints in mineral substrates, joints in roof panels, penetrations and abutments with upstands must be reinforced using a suitable reinforcing fabric set into a coat of Dr. Fixit Uniproof 4000. o Apply Uniproof 4000 at a coverage of 0.9-1.0 kg/sq.mt/coat using brush, roller or spray.
