We are all four graduates of the Free University of Brussels. Recently, we returned to our hometown to promote local Moroccan products such as Argan oil , Prickly Pear Seed Oil , Moroccan Black Soap , and Rhassoul Clay in our Souss region and to promote the local women's cooperatives that produce it. We achieve this by bringing back our scientific and technical expertise acquired in Europe while benefiting from a network of knowledge that we and our family have built here for centuries. Our mission is twofold: 1 - To introduce and make accessible to the whole world the organic, ancestral, and incredible products offered by our country, with the quality standards, ethics, and professionalism that international customers demand today. 2 - Allow women producers in their cooperatives to benefit from a greater share of the added value of the local products they produce, in order to improve the quality of life of their families, starting with health and education. Our mission is twofold: Make the whole world discover the incredible ancestral products offered by our country. Allow women in cooperatives to benefit from the fruits of their labor more equitably. FATIMA'S GARDEN VALUES QUALITY PRODUCTS We are based in Agadir (Morocco) and constantly and rigorously monitor the quality of raw materials as well as production quality standards. WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT We have chosen to market our products made exclusively by women, organized in democratic cooperatives and who are masters of their destiny. FAIR WAGES The cooperatives are paid directly without intermediaries so that the women receive the full value of their work fairly. EDUCATION OF CHILDREN IN RURAL AREAS Since women are able to support their families, their children no longer have to go out to work in the fields with their fathers and therefore have the possibility of returning to school. FATIMA'S GARDEN VALUES GENDER EQUALITY Having a decent job, financial independence and sometimes being the only source of income for the family, helps women to reduce gender disparities. ETHICAL FARMING In the era of cancers and the multiplication of incurable diseases, we believe in clean, sustainable and ethical agriculture without fertilizers or chemicals that stress our bodies, but also our planet Earth. ETHICAL BEAUTY Be the best version of yourself without compromising your short and long term health. Be the best version of yourself without compromising other people's life or the planet's future. Work with women's cooperatives Black Soap, Argan, and prickly pear products are a lever for sustainable development in the Souss-Massa-Drâa region of Morocco. Fatima's Garden's mission is to help cooperatives market their oils. Women members of cooperatives have the job of collecting and crushing argan nuts. They have ancestral know-how transmitted from generation to generation. By marketing their products within their cooperatives, the women are paid according to the number of kilograms of almonds processed. The annual profit is also distributed equitably among all the members of this cooperative. THE PROJECTS YOU HAVE ALLOWED TO REALIZE THROUGH FATIMA'S GARDEN CONSTRUCTION OF A WELL IN A RURAL AREA Lack of water The village of one of the cooperatives in our network suffered from lack of water. Women (or children) had to walk a long way every day to access a water point. Solar Pump With other solidarity partners, Fatima's Garden participated in a beautiful well construction project within the village. The pump is powered by solar energy. Benefits for the village The need for water prevented women from working in their cooperative (lower income), and children from going to school (loss of education). The well has also reduced the daily dangers represented by this journey, as well as the health hazard implied by the lack of drinking water. SOLIDARITY BASKETS DURING THE PANDEMIC At the start of the pandemic, many families already living in precarious conditions lost their jobs. The associations “A Better Tomorrow” and “Morocco Foundation” immediately distributed food baskets to these families via a collection of donations in which Fatima's Garden participated. The action focused on the regions of Taroudant, Chichaoua, Ben Ahmed and Oualidia. The photo is from food distribution made this week in the Azilal region. DISTRIBUTION OF EYEGLASSES FOR CHILDREN AT SCHOOL The association of former students of "Al Mouwahidine" school in Inezgane organizes an annual medical visit to all primary schools in the city (22) to detect children in need of glasses. An ophthalmologist then prepares custom-made glasses for each child. The association then distributes them in schools. The operation is done by collecting donations, in which Fatima's Garden participated. FIRST ANIMAL SHELTER IN AGADIR The shelter The Moroccan Association for the Protection of Animals and the Environment (the Heart on the Paw) has been working for years against the scourge of overpopulation and mistreatment of street dogs and cats in the Agadir region. Goals Fatima's Garden has modestly contributed to help the association advance its objectives: Protect, care for, sterilize and feed animals. Find them adoptive people Create a refuge for post-operative follow-up of animals
