About the AuthorR J Garde completed his MS and PhD from Colorado State University and his DSc from the Pune University He was the erstwhile Professor of Hydraulic Engineering at University of Roorkee, IIT, India. His specialisation was in the subjects of fluid mechanics and fluvial hydraulics. He was the Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University subsequent to his retirement. He has been with the Central Water and Power Research Station in Pune, India since 1991. He is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering, Institution of Engineers (India) and Indian National Science Academy. He is also a Professor Emeritus. Fluid Mechanics Through Problems is his presentation on the subject based on his extensive teaching and research experience.
