Book Description | The hardback release of this book became the definitive narrative of those crucial days at the end of WW2 on last year's 70th anniversary of the death of Adolf Hitler. Sold over 10k in print & e to date. The third in Jonathan Mayo's Minute by Minute series, following his widely-praised titles on D-Day and the death of JFK. The minute by minute style is proven to capture media and reader attention. The mass market release of D-Day Minute by Minute saw renewed media interest and reviews, and the title immediately began selling well - we can expect the same again here, and more. Emma Craigie edited the previous Minute by Minute books, and teams up with Jonathan again, revisiting the death of Hitler, as covered very differently in her last novel, Chocolate Cake with Hitler. Stands out from conventional linear histories and will appeal to historians, general readers and fans of the film Downfall. |
Editorial Review | Beyond fascinating... this book brings to life a thousand different people in the most dramatic moment of the last century. Jeremy Vine Mesmerising. Daily Mail Fascinating. The Sun Compelling. Radio Times |
