Book DescriptionThe present study is helpful to understand and predict the behaviour of the ionospheric region that will affect a given radio communication circuit. The effect of ionospheric parameter variation over the low latitudinal ionosphere has great importance due to its unique features. The low latitude ionosphere is characterized by large diurnal and seasonal variations etc. TEC and scintillation activity was monitored at equatorial anomaly region Bhopal (geographic coordinates: 23.2 N, 77.6 E; geomagnetic coordinates 14.29 N, 151.12 E) using GISTM The results presented in this work are preliminary and represent the first stage of a series of studies of the dynamics of the ionosphere during both the quiet and disturbed periods. The present statistical study of Total Electron Content, F-layer parameters and the ionospheric effects of geomagnetic storms is done on a low latitude ionospheric region. In addition the study can be extended by predicting the percentage occurrence of spread F at low latitude as well as anomaly crest stations by knowing the occurrence of spread-F at equator."
