About the AuthorDouglass F. Taber is Professor of Chemistry at the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware. Professor Taber received his BS from Stanford University in 1970, and his PhD from Columbia University in 1974.?Following a postdoctoral appointment with Professor Barry Trost at the University of Wisconsin, he was assistant professor at Vanderbilt University from 1975-1982, when he moved to the University of Delaware. Professor Taber has more than 170 publications in the organic chemistry field, and has authored eight book chapters and three books. His research interests include the stereoselective synthesis of natural products, new methods in synthetic organic chemistry, and computational organometallic chemistry in organic synthesis.
