About the Author | Lizzie Carr is Britain's best known paddle boarder. She has travelled the length and breadth of the country exploring Britain's inland waterways and coastlines from her paddle board, bringing you the very best of what's out there. In 2017 she became the first woman to paddleboard the English Channel solo, while in 2018 she spent eight days paddling the length of the Hudson River. She dedicates much of her time to raising awareness of plastic pollution in the world's waterways and, thanks to a chip fitted in the fin of her paddleboard, collecting data to measure water temperature to help interpret the impact of global warming. |
