Book Description | To celebrate the short story and its writers, the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority launches the Stories from Saudi Arabia series. Through which it aims to monitor selections written by pens within the Saudi geographical scope on an annual basis, in order to document the diversity and development of narratives in the Kingdom, and to renew interest in one of the most important literary genres in modern Arabic literature. Tatt The history of the short story in the Kingdom took place over more than fifty years, during which several names emerged who shaped the literary movement and shaped its features, followed by a new generation, some of whom followed in the footsteps of their predecessors, and some of whom followed their own itinerary. This is why we, at the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, aim for the collection to be a work published every year that defines the narrative literature issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to its various writers, so that its resonance reaches a large segment of the public locally, regionally, and globally. In this collection, there are twenty short stories written during the year 2019 AD, and they dealt with various topics to accompany the reader through scenes from Saudi daily life, hoping to have an enjoyable trip among its mountains and sands. |
