Characteristics: Ortiva 250 SC is a multivalent fungicide with a broad spectrum of vegetable disease control.
The fungicide acts in the development cycle of pathogens, mainly on the germination and mobility of spores.
A large part of the active substance enters the leaf and moves translaminar, and then undergoes a uniform redistribution of the product on the sheet.
The rest of the substance forms a reservoir on the surface of the leaf, which reacts under humid conditions.
Ortiva 250 SC has a vitalizing effect on plants, as the leaves have a better assimilation capacity. It also has a positive influence on the shelf life of vegetables.
Usage: Preventive application is recommended. If the diseases have already set in, it is not recommended to use the product (curative activity).
Peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes: Ortiva 250 SC is applied as a preventive measure in the second part of the vegetation during fruit formation. The interval between treatments is adjusted according to climatic conditions, disease course and culture.
Potato, onion, carrot: the fungicide is applied as a preventive measure under conditions favourable to the development of the disease. The application of the product should be avoided when the air temperature and/or relative humidity are very high (special attention will be paid to protected areas).
In a season, the number of treatments with Ortiva 250 SC will not exceed 30% of the total number of treatments, but will not exceed 3 treatments per season. The interval between treatments is 10 days at low pressure and 7 to 8 days in case of high infection.
Applying Ortiva 250 SC Fungicide three days before harvest increases the shelf life of vegetables by up to 2-3 weeks.
It is also recommended not to carry out consecutive treatments with Ortiva 250 SC but alternately with other products from different chemical groups (e.g. Ridomil Gold MZ 68 WG, Pergado MZ, Bravo 500 SC).
