| About the Author | Gretchen N. Newberry graduated in 2018 with a PhD in biology from the University of South Dakota where she studied common nighthawks. She now conducts outreach promoting biodiversity in Wisconsin's Driftless Area, and maintains a personal blog, A Feathered Reptile. In addition, she holds a BS in wildlife science from Oregon State University and a BA in journalism and anthropology from the University of Wisconsin. |
