| About the Author | Unmukt Chand was born on 26 March 1993 in Delhi. He traces his roots to Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. The promising cricketer, who led the India Under-19 team to World Cup victory in Australia in August 2012, has also captained the India A one-day team. Apart from representing India A, Unmukt is also part of India Under-23, North Zone, Delhi, and Delhi Daredevils teams. At age seventeen, he was the youngest to play the Indian Premier League. The prolific batsman also led the India U-19 side to victory in the Asia Cup (2012), and two U-19 quadrangular series (2011 and 2012). Among the prominent awards that have come his way in his cricketing career are the Castrol Best Junior Cricketer of the Year 2011-2012, and the CEAT Indian Youngster of the Year 2012. Unmukt is an avid reader and maintains a regular diary and, much like he collects his runs, is forever adding to his English vocabulary.
